Yeah, I knew a few similar stories.... but very few, thankfully. I think most make the transition successfully.. just takes some time, a rethinking of priorities.
Most, maybe all, of the High School stars I came to know closely follow their friends who are still playing, AND continue in various sports like adult softball, tennis, etc. They miss the glory days but they adapt and grow. - JamesJM
