And my best friend passing back to back years 2011 and 2012 hurt the most. BOTH were the type to pick up a phone and simply say "Hello". None of that texting or e mail crap. Both were always up for a Gators game or our AA baseball team here in Jacksonville. Both were nostalgic like me. Both had their demons they ultimately could not shake but were ALWAYS two of my biggest motivators in life. Both make me think of Robin Williams. They could bring up other people and make them laugh all the while they were in a dark place. We loved to talk about good times. I have overcome many deaths in the past but theirs still brings out a big "DAMMIT!!" ( Even vocal a time or two) from me when it hits AGAIN that they are gone. SEVERAL on this board helped carry me through that Spring of 2011. On 16 May, my younger Son was cleared of the deadly Leukodystrophy...The next day, the 17th, my Brother passed. It all sounds like a sad Country song, it hurts but I always try to think of the positive side of the eternal peace they are in and the enhanced appreciation of MY time on Earth and others still around.
