Some times....joking around with an Italian accent I might say "I wanna da pizza pie". That is really the only thing I miss is the food, well the Italian food anyway. I have a sister who still lives there....Red Bank.
The whole area I grew up has changed.....massively. I lived in the farming area of Marlboro, now there is no such thing, they have built rediculous houses where the fields once yeilded tomatoes and other veggies.

I never did get used to that.
We loved the area but of course we were young, filled with life, loved exploring, and everything was 'cool' then.
I went back in 1993, (we lived there in 1971), and visited our old apartment. The Buffalo's were still there.. (that was the name of the family that lived in the apartment next to us), AND our Landlady, but her husband had passed away. The apartment complex still shows up on Google Earth... but it was very old in 1971.
We were not there during the summer months, (school break time), so we never saw the 'beach crowd' or any of the people who had vacation beach homes there, (wow, some of those houses). I can only imagine how that place was hopping during that time.
