Jimmy I was a long time USAirways Employee up until 2005 and I was very proud of Sully and the co-pilot for their actions and calmness during this incredible situation. I've seen this film 3 times now and it does not get old for me. His ability to land that plane safely on a moving river is remarkable and for all aboard to survive, nothing short of a miracle.
I especially liked the "real life" stuff at the very end when they show the actual Sully getting back with the crew and passengers for a reunion in the hanger. I would have loved to hear individual stories from some of the passengers as to what was going through their minds but one thing is certain, they all believed in what Sully did and find no fault in his actions - something the NTSB should have considered before trying to shift the blame as they tried to make him their scape-goat.
Excellent movie.
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
