We've all read them. Believe them? I do not...although I'm sure a few must be right - just no way we'll ever know. But that said... two quotes stand out to me and while I don't know they are accurate, and doubt that they are actually...they are:
Stonewall Jackson - "Let us cross over the river, and rest under the shade of the trees." I choose to believe this to be true because.... I don't think more poetic words can be spoken as your final words.
Oscar Wilde - "My wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. One or other of us has got to go." This strikes me as pure genius - even though I have no idea why.
A few others for entertainment:
This one I absolutely do NOT believe because it's too good, and brilliant, to be true. Humphrey Bogart - "I should never have switched from Scotch to Martinis."
Another 'I choose to believe it's true' because it's perfect. Lou Costello - "That was the best ice-cream soda I ever tasted."
Stan Laurel - "I'd rather be skiing". Nuff said.
