I enjoy listening to the post game stuff on the radio but last night -not so much. That David Vasey guy kept putting Tony Gwynn Jr. down for saying the call had nothing to do with the end result. Gwynn was absolutely right-Gonzales was out because in the end he was out. Period. Move on. Vasey kept saying that the "umpires" in N.Y. didn't want to overturn another umpires call at the plate. Come on. If that was true why did the review take so long. I kept watching the replay over and over and even though the announcers on tv said it looked like he was safe I couldn't tell whether the hand was over the plate or on top of it. So I wasn't surprised by the eventual call. They needed a field lever angle like at first base but apparently didn't have that for home plate.
