On the way home from the games at Yosemite we stopped at Chukchansi for their 'Buffet', (nothing to really brag about but their Crab was excellent)...and it became my new favorite place. Why? You might ask.
Chukchansi is a reservation casino in Fresno County, Ca. Quite elaborate, very big. I walked in the door, leading my grandkids by the sparkly slot machines, and before I was out of the nickle machines I passed a guy in a Rams cap. In Fresno county this is rare. I said "HI", he answered back. 10' further I pass a guy in a Ram's cap playing a slot machine... now I'm awe struck. TWO?
Rounding one of the several dozen 'corners' in the labyrinth that is a casino I see 3, maybe 4, guys sitting at a bar ALL wearing Ram's caps. Now I know I'm dreaming... some macabre prelude to the AZ game.
We enter the buffet, pay, get seated... next to a table with 12 people, (or so), ALL wearing Ram's gear. What in the HELL? Are the Ram's playing in Chukchansi tomorrow?
Before I am finished eating, and back out of the casino to continue the drive home.. I see dozens... no exaggeration, DOZENS of people wearing Ram's gear.
Now for the kicker, if that wasn't enough. In that entire time I did not see a single Niner cap...in Fresno County, Ca. USA. Had Bigfoot been in that casino playing a slot machine, wearing a tie and fedora, puffing on a bong with Paris Hilton draped on him like a cloak I would not have been as stunned. - JamesJM
