I like to say every nut and bolt is in the engine models, but its all the main components and stuff - and yeah, you can disassemble them and whatnot.. I did animations showing all the air flow, fuel spray, spark, fire etc.. with all the turbines spinning and whatnot..
No, haven't done anything for Tinker.. The C-130J model engines were for an organization at Sheppard, but we had to go to Dyess in Abilene for me to shoot the reference photos as they didn't have a J model engine at Sheppard..
Part of the F-100 engine was to show the differences in the Pratt & Whitney and the General Electric versions - they both make F-100 engines, but are very different.. I wanted to ask the Thunderbird pilots if they preferred one over the other, but didn't get the chance.. My guess is they prefer the Pratts because all the Thunderbird F-16's have Pratts in them..
The TF-34 from the A-10 is my favorite of the 3, tho.. it just looks cooler, imo and I'm a big fan of A-10s....
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
