It's nothing but a HUGE cash grab. Why cities fight for it is beyond me. Most of the venues of the last several Olympics are abandoned and or run down. I think the Olympics should be in just two places...Greece for Summer and Helsinki for Winter. That way, facilities can be built to the max AND MAINTAINED!

Even worse is the PATHETIC TV "coverage". WAAAAY too many sob stories and useless commentary by Bob Costas. Also, for SOME stupid reason, they hardly ever show medal ceremonies.......And this is when there is NOT a commercial on.
