being 'afraid of the dark'. I think that applies to everyone, does it not? But where, when, and to what degree varies a great deal. A dark alley in a city would scare me. Being alone in the wilderness at night is less scary to me than being in my living room at night. It's not the 'dark' to me but where and how I perceive 'threats'.
Truth is: Alone, at night, in the wilderness is the most 'secure' feeling I've ever known... and yeah, I know that's not normal, or I should say, not how most others would feel.
