The ability to record 5 shows is pretty cool so far, we haven't gone a day without something to watch in fact we have a lineup of saved shows now that we have to chose from but it is nice.
There are some bad spots in Bakersfield just like every large or larger city. We made a few mistakes early on taking the wrong turn looking for something and it put us in the wrong area before we knew it and we couldn't get out of there fast enough.
We pick and chose when we go into town because we can and we live about as far east of town without being back in the mountains in fact we can see the canyon form our front door. Five minutes further east from us is that dreaded canyon we traveled back and forth for so many years but being this far out on the edge of the city makes ue feel like we're removed from it all.
We have all the things we need close at HOOVE but for sure there isn't the overwhelming congestion from sun up to sun down like we lived with an LA for most of our lives.
Great that you can put up with all of the LA stuff to take in the RAMS games, I'm past wanting to go into that pit basin ever again if I can help it.
I had a total knee replacement on my right knee last year but I still don't like to do extensive walking even though the bone on bone pain is now gone. Let me know where your seats are so I can keep an eye out for ya.
I'll be watchin like always and I'm really glad this move back to LA with all the discontent it caused is hopefully over, now maybe we can move on to doing what we love most, watchin the RAMS.

Glad you are in the valley now. Bakersfield gets a bad rap, but has some real nice areas. My cousins use to live down there and moved up here in NorCal in the 90's. I always enjoyed our family trips to visit them down there. Being on flatland as you get older makes life a bit easier for sure.
Got me season tickets to the Rams this year 23. I promised myself that if they came back, I would. So Directv on away games and Rams 40yard line during home games.I think I might shed a tear when I step into that old haunt next Saturday. All my childhood heroes played there when I grew up. Go RAMS!
