Though I am so sorry for the two lost Firefighters and one in Critical condition, the amount of irresponsibility just makes me shake my head. THREE crews and NOBODY looked out for approaching aircraft?? Even IF the Tower screwed up and gave them clearance, you NEVER NEVER NEVER even approach , much less touch an active runway without looking left, right, left again and right again. Even if I crossed a Runway that was NOT active, my head was on a BIG TIME swivel. That whole ordeal sadden AND disgusted me.
