So Friday both my vizio tv's received a
firmware update, or should I say a bad firmware
update.
Both tv's nothing, nada, powered on, light blue/black screen only.
A PTSD kicker inner ( not kidding I do have it) for sure.

Called Geek Guys, they wanted $250. per tv to send them back to vizio to flash the motherboard.

called Vizio and they called back in one minute!!!!!!!!

Explained the situation.
"Yep, your not the first"
" I'm not suppose to tell u this but".
So if ya have a smart tv and get s bad firmware
update here's what to do:
1. Unplug tv
2. Hold down power button for 5 seconds
Power button will blink or stay on???
3. Plug tv back in
4. Do "NOT" touch anything until the tv is back on and working.
(Mine restarted in SmartCast)
5. Will take 5-10 minutes
Defaults to the previous firmware setting.
$500 bucks for that....,,.....no wonder things are in the shape they are.
