I think most people who were born pre, ohhhhh, 1970... remembers watching the rocket launches; and that even after the media lost interest... so many weren't 'live' but rather 15 second news briefs.
But funny thing... I've never lost my interest... and since the moon flight, thru a bit of interest resurgence during the Shuttle years, until today I watch... and today NASA TV allows live viewing... and I'm there... perhaps not for ALL of them, but definitely most.
That's where I am as we speak... logged on to NASA TV's live broadcast... launch in about and hour, if the weather holds.
Space always has and always hold hold intense fascination for me.... most other topics ebb and flow for me... but not NASA.. it never ebbs. - JamesJM
