Apollo 13 astronaut, you know the story.
It's no secret to anyone on this board how much admire NASA and the entire space program... and astronauts ARE heroes of mine.
In this interview Fred says something that struck me as so incredible I had to post about it. He was talking about the movie Ron Howard made and a discussion he had with Ron Howard... in which Ron told Fred something like this:
"I listened to every word of the conversation between mission control and you three and nowhere in the entire recording was it apparent that you guys had a problem"
thus some 'extra', (drama), was added to the movie so the situation would be more apparent to movie viewers.
