That sounds pretty typical......

Many years we would do the Valentine's Day Massacre show in Feb, then not touch an instrument until a months before the Halloween Bash - so Feb til September.. and those first practices back were always a mess.. I remember the singer saying we shouldn't need to practice AT ALL - just jump onstage and play.. IDIOT.. yeah, your singer being flat all night and not hearing it IS worrisome That's when you just get the singers together with no instruments and a cappella it as long as it takes.. Can't hide when there are no other instruments to hide behind..

Your endurance will come back - but you don't have much time to build it up.. Just do your best - adrenaline should get you through the show.. That was good to reminisce about the past - build up comradery and celebrate the good times and let the bad times light a fire under your butts to practice hard.. You'll be AMAZED at how fast that 2 weeks goes by, so make the most of it.. but, everything will be awesome, brother.. It already is... Thank you for the practice report - I thoroughly enjoyed it..
