As a kid I didn't dig 7UP very much..

To me, it had an oily type quality or texture to it and I didn't like it at all.. I drank many a Sprites back then, as I preferred Sprite to 7UP all day, every day..

Then the great freeze came upon us and I drank NEITHER 7UP or Sprite for at least 2 decades.. I was walking through Walmart and 7UP had these cute little cans in a 12 pack.. I thought, "What the heck!" and bought a 12 pack.. Upon trying the 7UP I was pleased to realize the oily quality was gone.. 7UP actually was a PLEASURE to drink.. and drink I did!

After a couple of months I went to get more 7UP, but Walmart was sold out.. I scoured the corners and alleys and warehouses on the waterfronts: nada..

So, I figured Sprite would work - I used to like it WAY better than 7UP, anyway.. So, I got a 12 pack of Sprite.. Popped one open and took a big 'ol swig - and sprayed it out immediately.. Sprite now had that oily quality to it.. It was downright awful..

I have always been a Cream Soda fan, so from then on, all I drink is IBC Cream Soda in the bottle.. No more than one a day, tho!
