I've been on The Herd for over 20 yrs and for most of that entire time I've been the lone participating female on a board full of men. During that time, there's been drama, headaches for the admins and members alike, plenty of BS, and enough testosterone spilled to fill Lake Michigan. Were women to blame for any of it? Nope. You say you don't know why women have a way of making work harder than it really should be? I suggest you and your constituents look in the mirror.
