People really have no idea how much..

effort goes into doing shows...What I used to do for every show was seriously nuts..Of course, restringing each guitar and polishing them and wiring up the main guitar to smoke like Ace Frehley's and whatever I needed to do to my Marshall stack to make sure she was loud and obnoxious and reliable.. From searching for 2 months for new jewelry and custom clothes while buying new makeup and hair stuff and whatnot.. That was all the EASY stuff..

I also created roughly 30 custom videos that we ran during each song during the set on a huge projection screen behind the drummer.. I programmed everything on his laptop so that he could trigger each video simply by tapping the laptop screen - I added code to make the cursor invisible cuz that would be annoying - along with code that kept the cursor within the resolution of the laptop screen so the invisible cursor didn't vibrate off screen and the drummer not be able to find it or tap the screen to go to the next vid..

I put together a really nice DMX (computerized) special effects lighting setup with rotating spotlights, strobes, police lights, lasers, 6 smoke machines, 1200 watt black lights, and other cool gadgets.. All had to be programmed - then set up in a spare bedroom so that whoever was running the lights could practice running them while I also made tweaks to them.. show day I had to break all of that down and transport to the club and set it all up, along with the projection screen stuff.. then do the show and tear it all down.. I had DMX cables and power cables EVERYWHERE..

I had to do the setlists - and each setlist had specific info on specific songs, such as what video was running, and separate setlists for whoever ran the DMX setup - what "scenes" to hit (scenes allowed you to programs specific movements to all the lights so you could hit one button to trigger them all at once) and when to run smoke and strobes and stuff.. Also the soundman had his won setlist with specific things to do.. he also ran the house lights, so that setlist told him when to kill the house lights and when to turn them back on..

I also designed, created, printed and distributed all the flyers for the show, as well as making the facebook "event" to invite everyone to.. I also created two 30 second video commercials that I'd run all over facebook..

That's most of it.. tons more.. the other 3 guys? They showed up for practice.. The singer's only contribution to each show was in how many practices he cancelled.. loser..
