I think there needs to be both cap and floor, similar to the NFL.

If they do it right and keep building their brand, the cap can get bigger every year.

Everyone makes more money, and there’s more parity.

Sure, teams like the Royals can stretch payroll for a couple years at a time, but they don’t generate the money from their broadcast network like the Yankees, Dodgers, and Mets.

Money doesn’t guarantee success (Mets), but it makes it a lot easier to plug holes.
