I've never liked tight spaces... but I would not say I was claustrophobic. Then today...
I've had a few of those scans where they insert you in that scanning tube and it never really bothered me. Mostly I slept. Then today:
PET Scan... narrowest tube I had ever been in. Didn't think much about it.... closed my eyes to nap before they even slid me in but then.... when I was in I briefly opened my eyes. Yikes. Top of the tube couldn't have been more than 5 inches above my face.... I did NOT like that. BUT... I did not panic.
I did, however, start to wonder if I was going to panic. Closed my eyes and did my best to relax.. it worked.... but I never completely got over the feeling of being trapped in a tube.
Next time I'm asking for drugs. - JamesJM
