Was a TREMENDOUS amount of work.. MY work for each show started a month before each show, programming lights and putting together stage outfits and losing weight and doing everything necessary to do that show the way I wanted it done.. The singer used to cry about how much work it was and the only thing he EVER did was cancel practices.. I did everything - setlists that were quite in-depth with lighting cues, and video cues and whatnot.. I made the intro projector videos with badass intro music that were sooooo coll.. I did the printed flyers, digital flyers, set up the facebook events etc.. I handled band pad rent and utilities I did it all..
..and he quit because he thought he did too much work.. He didn't even help set up or tear down equipment.. I replaced stage bulbs and fog juice and decorations out of my pocket.. it used to piss me off BIGTIME that we did a 4 way equal split of the money when I did 97% of the work.. and I didn't care as long as I got to do the shows.. Hell, one time I Was in the middle of setting up the lights and one of the guys made a taco run.. I said to just save one for me and I'll be there in 20 minutes.. I got there and there were no tacos.. I was told he ate the last one after eating 5 more.. So, I was the only guy who didn't get to eat.. Absolutely ridiculous..
But I still miss it.. I need to get another band rolling.. I am a bit afraid I'll blackout running across the stage and end up in the 5th row.. So be it! Let's rock!
