..and I just thought about this: with Ai, they can take a photo of you from your facebook account, and create a salami video and extort you with something you didn't even do.. Man.. things are getting messed up.. Everything that makes computers cool can be used against you..

Yeah, I've gotten the free credit monitoring offers - and took it because it was THEIR fault my info was compromised.. I got ID thefted 4 times.. I've told the story here where I actually found the dude that managed to get $66K in MY name.. I found him (he had the same name as me) in the Dallas area (Lewisville) and found his address in a strip mall.. I got the addy and found another store in the same strip mall and called them.. They said, "yeah we know him - he's that weird dude who has his windows all blacked out.. They then told me he had the same name as me..

I went to the FBI and gave them the info.. Didn't hear a word for about 8 months.. I get a call telling me I'll be the star witness at the trial.. I'm like.. WWWWTTTTTFFFFF?? So, weeks later I'm all ready to drive to Lewisville and the FBI calls me and tells me he took a plea deal: he'll be in a federal prison for 4.5 years.. I tell him I wanna go to the sentencing because I wanna see the guy who tried to screw my life over.. The FBI guy busts out laughing.. I ask what is so funny? He replies, "Well, I can tell you this - he is EXTREMELY gay.."

So, I'm left wondering what is worse? Somebody getting $66K in my name or somebody running around saying they are me and they are extremely gay? I actually would not have been responsible for the $66K because I had put fraud alerts on all 3 credit bureau accounts.. They just didn't bother to check my credit bureau accounts and gave him the money without doing a credit check - so they were responsible.. Now I have all 3 credit bureau accounts locked.. Its a PITA to get credit or credit cards, but I've only had to do that once.. Nobody will ever get credit in my name, again..
