I filter messages so these days I don't get a lot of them... couple a day maybe but I only see them if I need to check my junk and trash folders.
However... that was first, (that I recall or have seen), that so boldly threatened me. I had FUN reading that.

sorry... but a short tale from years ago - this topic reminded me of it:
I used to run a website for Kerman Youth Football - Hi-Light videos of all 4 games, (also High School), Players Of The Week, etc. Some years ago we had made the playoffs and were about to face Kingsburg, our arch rival. A few days before the game I received this email sent to the email I used for the website;
My intentions are as simple as this. If you do not cancel this upcoming game
at Kingsburg, I will set off the largest potassium nitrate explosion everin
California with the intention of killing you, and all of your students...I
expect you to withdraw.... TODAYIn my gut I knew this was some kid screwing around BUT.... no way I could ignore it. Newspapers at the time were filled with terror threats. So I reported it first to our Athletic Director who told me to contact the police.
This was maybe around 2012 or so? Internet stuff was no where as well known as it is today. A detective came out to visit me... sat down with me at my computer and said to me, "Ok, show me how all this works".
I actually had quite a few tools, (provided by my server), that I could use to check on ISP's, Locations, etc. I ran it down and gave the detective a several block area in Kingsburg where the email originated from.
They cancelled the game, (replayed a week later).... and they caught the kid. Yup, a Kingsburg High School Teen.
I'll bet Steve remembers me posting about this - JamesJM
