I have gotten them from what LOOKS to be my own email address. It says they hacked my password and have access to my email, and even provide my password.
And the best part is, it is a password I used one time, but never for email.
The information in these scams comes from hacked info they buy from dark web resources. So you have an account SOMEWHERE that got hacked, and the info included the things you mentioned... part of your address, full name, sometimes A password, but is it the correct password? Do you even remember every password you've used for email?
They're not real. They have enough personal information in them so you'll hopefully think it MIGHT be real. I get one every few weeks. In "your account has been hacked" notifications, one of the cautions is that you may get scam emails with some of your information that was stolen in the hacking incident, and to be cautious about any contact that "appears" to be from the company.
I've also probably gotten roughly 8-10 notifications that my account has been hacked (legitimately) usually offering free credit monitoring services for 1-3 years. It's getting to be fairly common.
