but I'm against them... at least until late HS years. Most of what I've read from Pro's, Coaches, is they agree that travel leagues are not the best for athletes. I'm sure there are some opposing views but that's the bulk of what I've read.
It's stunned by how many parents I've known here locally that are convinced their son/daughter is going pro when they're 8 or 9 years old! And then they reschedule their lives to accommodate what they think is the best road to the Pros... EVEN, and this is the worst, to the detriment of education. it costs them a fortune too.
