I actually won't be posting much about Rugby... .I just wanted to scare the hell out of Iowa.

But that said... yeah, I may post some updates on my grandsons games.... I think he's headed to Spain for a tournament somewhat soon.
32 days until high school football! I got shocking football news yesterday - Moose, my youngest grandson, played both O and D in youth football but he made his bones as a Running Back. To our shock his Freshman year they bumped him up to Varsity and made him a DB. He'll be a Junior this year, hasn't played O in going on 3 years.
All this spring he's been training and going to camps to better learn the DB position. They're officially underway now for this coming season. I asked about the team's progress yesterday.... he said it was going well he just needed to get the playbook memorized better. I asked him how many. 'plays' they have on defense and he said, "no, the offense playbook".
I asked why in the hell a DB had to learn the offensive playbook although I can understand it.. in HS, with injuries, D players can sometime be called on to play O. But he replied, "No, for playing RB". I replied, "What the hell?"
They have bumped him up to #2 in the RB rotation... while staying their starting DB. I had no friggin' idea.
Between DB and RB I'm not sure which he plays best. Guess I'm about to find out.
