Mine would be the test pattern they showed just before going on air.

. But the show I was waiting for was:
"Cartoon Capers". Not sure if that was national or local? I HATED that my bus to school came by before Cartoon Capers ended so I had to miss the last 10 minutes or so.
I cannot remember the first 'adult' TV show I ever saw... but NO DOUBT it would have been one of the many westerns. Almost surely either The Roy Rogers show, or the Gene Autry Show, or the Lone Ranger. BTW.... I was an adult before I realized it was the LONE Ranger instead of the LONG Ranger.

Speaking of TV Westerns.... the hottest topic among my fellow classmates and I during those days was who was the fastest on the draw.

. Fist fights could and did occur during those debates.

. I'd like to say those 'fastest on the draw' debates were in 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade maybe.... but in truth they lasted into my High School years.

Hmm, the first non-western I remember? Probably I Love Lucy. but it could have been any one of dozens.
I do remember our first color TV and the first color TV show I saw... you're thinking it was "Bonanza", right? Nope, Bonanza was the 2nd. The 1st was "Hazel"... and I hated "Hazel", but it was in color.

I think it was "Mission Impossible" that finally broke my addiction to westerns.
