I enjoy the earlier episode more then the later ones , kinda the same with the Waltons , even the Harry Potter movies
I'm pretty much the same age as Melissa Gilbert , and so I grew up right along with little Laura Ingalls
the new Little House on The Prairie has a different tone then the original , but it's not 1974 anymore , it has a little more somber tone
but it still maintains the heart and warmth of the original , just not quite the humor
but this new version is more realistic and closer to the books then the original TV show
the supporting cast isn't quite as memorable as the original , but it is only 8 episodes ,
my only issue with the show really are the girls ages , their much older then they should be for this part of the story
if you ever watched the original pilot movie from 1974 , before it became a tv series , you'll recognize several beats along the way , as they move from Wisconsin to Kansas , which is what basically the entire season one of the new show is about
