When a singer's vebrato becomes a warble, that voice is no longer "music to my ears" and I have no desire to listen.
It happened to Frank Sinatra (although he never really warbled too much. He just spoke his songs rather than sing them), Liza Minelli, Frankie Valli, Wayne Newton, Dionne Warwick and Barbra Streisand. I'd rather a singer leaves the business sooner than later. Just seems like when it's later... it's far too late and I hate hearing them like that.
