I’m no doctor, but when I read about your latest fall at work, that’s immediately what came to my mind.
Sorry you’re having so much trouble and no answers.
God bless you for keeping your sense of humor through it all. I’d be a mess in that situation.
I’m gonna second what Mama said and tell you that you need to be your strongest advocate.
If they can’t figure it out, you need to find someone who can.
The local clinic/hospital where I live has a bad reputation. Its name is Golden Valley Healthcare, but many denizens refer to it as “Death Valley.”
I can’t say I’ve had too many issues there myself, but when my stepdad was still around, he had a couple of big fights with pneumonia at the ICU there (also had severe emphysema as a result of smoking), and one of the doctors there at the time said something to the effect of it’s going to keep happening so you need to move to a dry climate like Arizona. Like, WTF kind of advice is that? Didn’t realize this was 1870 and my stepdad had consumption lol.
Make a long story longer, he ended up getting pneumonia again because of poor treatment for pancreatitis and was life-flighted to St. Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Great, award-winning hospital. Ended up giving him a BIPAP machine and he never caught pneumonia again. He passed away last year, but that was from a heart attack caused by his ever-worsening lung function from his emphysema.
All that to say do whatever you need to do to get this figured out. I know it can be a PITA to travel back and forth to see a doc, but your life is worth way more than an inconvenience.
Sorry if that came off a little condescending, but we need you here, homie!
