I had an MRI, a CT Scan, a heart echo and a stress test done and all came back negative.. I still think its a blood pressure issue as it mostly happens when I'm sitting and I stand up quickly, which is exactly what happened yesterday..
This isn't the easiest town to get a good diagnosis in, tho.. My brother died 2 years ago because he contracted non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and in 3 years here, not one doctor was able to diagnosis it.. He was transferred to Dallas.. They diagnosed it within 2 days, but it was too late and he passed.. Sorry - I'm a bit bitter with the healthcare options in this town..
Thank you for your kind words.. I really appreciate you, Mama...
I have high blood pressure that was diagnosed about 25 yrs ago. It runs in my family. It took some trial and error in figuring out the right meds and doses for me, but my BP has been under control for about 20 yrs. now. Do you have a blood pressure kit at home so you can monitor your blood pressure? I sure do and I use it often. If you don't have one, please get one. That would be a good place to start. They have them at places like Walmart, Target, Walgreens and they're not too expensive. Start taking your own blood pressure at different times of the day, different days of the week and keep a record of it. Do it on a spreadsheet or heck even just a paper notebook. Maybe you can see patterns or trends. Your doctors only know what it is when they see you. They need to know what it's like other times, too. So I think that would help. Take it with you next time you see your primary care physician or doctor of internal medicine. And if your primary care doctor isn't giving you the care you need ('cause doggone it you need answers. Ok, I mean I need answers!), dump him and find somebody who will. Don't make me have to come down there!!
