I don't know. BUT, I doubt it. They were down to their last play so with that much distance there really wasn't much choice.
Still... odd how similar they are... same play, same corner of the end zone.
It is true, however, that both Gavin and Ashton were given a LOT of free rein. Especially Ashton who was primarily a RB and played RB in college. He was both Kerman's leading passer, obviously since he was the QB, but also their leading rusher. Somewhere around 1,500 yds passing and I think 1,100 yds rushing his Sr. Yr. I forget how many TD's but it was a bunch.
Interesting stat: In college Ashton threw two passes, both from the RB position. Result? 2 TD's. He finished his college career 2 for 2, 2TD's.

. I'd be very surprised if that record is ever beaten.
