Just saw a video that said the following: (accurate? I don't know...but perhaps not far off)
In the video they used a formula to compare pitching speed of today with those of yesteryear. The method they use today is quite different than used historically.
First up:
Bob Feller... new estimate: 107.6 mph
Nolan Ryan... new estimate: 108.5 mph
