I don't know anything about migraines, as far as I know I've never had one. But nothing I've heard from people who do have them makes me want to experience it "just one time" to see what it's like. I can't believe you lived with it for 3 months, but... specialists are notoriously hard to get appointments with quickly.
My neurologist is in Stillwater, 60 miles away... but I don't have to go very often, and they're good. Better than the two I tried in Tulsa first.
I've switched doctors for a lot less than you are experiencing with her. But I live near Tulsa so there are always options.
