If you don't know.... basically - odds of life elsewhere in the universe.
Always loved our UFO threads on this board. I truly do envy those who believe in them..... but I do not ALTHOUGH.. I'm with em' in spirit.

But as for the Fermi paradox.... lot of people... and a few who work in the field (astro-physics and such) are perplexed that no sign of alien life has been detected as yet. BUT... and this is obviously just my ignorant opinion.... that does NOT perplex me in the least. The universe is so incredibly vast... and the number of stars, planets, etc. that we can see are so numerous, plus the age of the universe as we currently understand it, that it seems to me detecting a signal of some kind would make finding a needle in a haystack child's play in comparison. In fact....
mathematically nearing 'impossible'. "nearing"...not quite... which gives me hope. Yes, I know that right now you're thinking of Lloyds quote in "Dumb and Dumber".

I think the best chance is in Pulsars... a civilization so advanced they were able to create a pulsar that is, at this very moment, beaming a code.... very much like 'smoke signals'.... but in a language we have yet to decode. I don't think that an unreasonable theory at all. Not likely.... but semi-reasonable.
Oh.... and I haven't fully developed this theory yet BUT..... the best evidence may be among us. Scott seems pretty damned alien to me.
