Got a Christmas card from my brother and his family accompanied with a check for a large sum of money.
I called my brother and asked WTH is this about????
He told me to buy a refrigerator because he was tired of hearing me complain about our old one.
Merry Christmas, I guess? lol
Thought about mentioning how unsafe it is to send checks in the mail, but I think that's kind of like looking a gift fridge in the crisper.
Btw, I think I still have my library card I got when I was six.
I'm such a nerd.
Wow! That's impressive. My siblings and I never exchanged gifts with each other in my whole life so I can't relate to anything like that. You guys must have a really special relationship. Either that or your brother is loaded! LOL. Either way, that was some gift.
My brother passed away a couple years ago and left behind his wife of 45 years, an adult son, Derrick, and an adult daughter. Derrick has become quite the world traveler over the years and he and HIS wife are always going somewhere. Well, for Christmas this year, Derrick and his wife (they live in Austin, TX) decided to take his mom and sister (they live in Oklahoma City) on an 8-day trip to Hawaii. I have no idea what that cost for the 4 of them ... but I'm sure it wasn't cheap. Derrick paid for all of it. They left Hawaii on Christmas Eve so they could wake up Christmas Day at home. A Christmas gift they'll never forget!
