Well , at least for the next two years , as USC and Notre Dame failed to come to a scheduling agreement for the 2026 / 2027 seasons
Notre Dame has now scheduled BYU to replace USC on their schedule for the next two years
what happens after that , not sure ,
but , not counting the covid season , this will be the first time in 79 years USC and Notre Dame haven't played each other
we say it ever year , college football is changing
with USC now in the Big Ten , and the Big Ten now scheduling 9 conference game , it become less and less likely teams are going to want to schedule non conference game against teams like Notre Dame
what about the other Big Ten teams Notre Dame play , will they stop playing Notre Dame
what about the ACC teams . after the way they bad mouthed the ACC , and blamed them for the reason they were left out of the playoff , will any ACC team reup their contracted with Notre Dame
heck , the ACC probably won't even be around in a couple years
anyways , another storied rivalry bites the dust , welcome to the new NCAA football
P.S.
I still think both Notre Dame and Stanford will both be in the Big Ten in a couple years
