The girls...

The only formal group I was ever in was when I was in college, and we played at places where high school kids were gathering to try and get their interest in going to school there. So mostly they were probably 16 years old and younger. I did wink one night at a little girl on the front row because she kept watching me all the way through the show, and she turned to her friend next to her like she was really excited. I just had a way with the 12 year olds.

There were plenty of pretty girls on campus and most of them knew who I was and about the group. The beautiful girl I eventually married never saw us perform. We were only in school together one semester, and the only performance I remember on campus, she didn't go. I had a crush on her from the first time I saw her and TOTALLY would have played to her, but she wasn't there. She probably knew about the group, but didn't have any idea who I was until I finally called her and asked her out.
