Re: Love Dairy Queen

I remember traveling through British Columbia in the 70s and early 80s, Dairy Queen was the only American fast food place in BC. I had always been told that they wanted to keep American chains out so they didn't push out the Canadian ones. Not sure how DQ got a foothold do early on.

Small town I went high school in for years also tried to keep the large chains out but they still had DQ when I was a kid.
