The topic of railroads....
I was watching NBC's "Today" show this morning and they were discussing the uptick in train travel due to all the stuff going on with air travel of late. One lady made a comment that trains were expensive, though. She said her daughter took the train from her college in New York to her home in Boston and it was almost $300 one-way. I think a scenic railway vacation through the Pacific Northwest would be my ideal train vacation. Anyhow, when the segment ended, they commented that Frank Sinatra had quite a collection of model trains and even bought a separate house in California to house them all. I never knew that. Sinatra just didn't strike me as a guy who would be into trains. I wonder what happened to his collection? Probably auctioned off years ago.
