WE have a couple places in Calif....

Barstow and I forget the name of the other mountain pass just south of Barstow that basically handles every east west train in the USA. Webcams are set up at both and there is nearly always a train passing thru.

It's strange to be in the middle of the Mojave desert, middle of NOTHING, and to see freight train after freight train passing thru. - JamesJM
