but the Northern Lights HAVE been visible here in the past... several times - but it is rare. Nothing as spectacular as your area but a few I've seen were darned good.

The best show I've witnessed was driving home from a Rams game on I-5.... wee hours of the morning. Late 70s I think. Nearly horizon to horizon, (east to west), and fire red with tinges or orange and yellow. I was listening to KMJ Radio out of Fresno and they were being inundated with phone calls from people asking if it was anything from 'the big one' (nuclear bomb) to an alien invasion. - JamesJM
