When we got Guido we read a LOT of those English Springer websites and discovered that yes.... your experience is quite common with them.
Guido is the very definition of 'gentle'. He does love bugging the hell out of the cats, however. He wants them to attack him... because when they do he turns tail and turns into the flash. He can clear our living room sofa in a single bound and he never thinks to look where he's going when he does.... alas to you if you're in the path of his escape route.
Ashton, in that photo, is his favorite person, by far. BUT... if we invited the UPS person inside they would immediately be Guido's best friend. Any stranger that comes to our door Guido is instantly in ecstasy and greets them with "where have you been my whole life?" - JamesJM
