Yes, you're right.... at one time they were probably the most successful team in the valley. Even back in the 60's they were our main rival and our record against them was not good.

In the entire valley I believe they are 2nd only to Bakersfield for total wins.

In those years you speak of, and more, they were 'automatic'.. meaning DP was going to be in the hunt for the sectional championship... it was a given.
