Lesser known in Charleston, is a Fort called Pinckney Castle.

Small, round structure in the Harbor, that you pass on the way to Sumter. We were told that it went waaaaay back. Used to hang Pirates there. Last time we went, we caught the Ferry by the Charleston Aquarium. That was 4 years ago. Prior times, with my Dad, we caught the Ferry by Patriots Point, close to the Yorktown. I'm not sure if that one still operates.
