With your music and can't wait to hear it. I have only tried writing music a very few times... and it can be VERY frustrating.. or at least it is for me. There is ALWAYS something that you feel could be just a little bit better.

I gotta believe getting to that point when say to yourself, "There, it's done"..... must feel fantastic.... well, if that EVER happens that is.

Now switching topics a bit:
It's becoming very obvious to me that drummers today have taken drumming to an entirely new level. The speed is mind boggling. I may get in trouble for saying this but I don't think any of the older drummers, as great as they were, are even close to the technical skill of today's drummers and YES... I include Buddy Rich in that.
But I need to note here that great technical skill does not necessarily equate to better 'music'. Most drummers I know can play the Purdy Shuffle.... it's a perfect drum beat. Not difficult to play, really, but its musical quality is phenomenal and I think reaches ANY person who loves music. So while I fully appreciate and am awed by a drummer today playing at light speed it's no more pleasing to me, probably less so, than the Purdy Shuffle.
