but.......

when they first come on the radio , it's a different band that always comes to mind , sometimes , i'll be half way through the song before it dawns on me it's someone else

Dave Clark 5 is a good example , several of their songs sound like early Beatles songs





Jan and Dean , this one is probably more forgivable , with the Beach Boys , as they did some of the same songs





John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band - On the Dark Side , came out about the same time as Bruce Springsteen Born In The USA





Quarterflash , probably an easier one , a band from the early 80 , short lived , most people probably forgot , or never even heard of , , but Pat Benatar is the first thing that pops into your head when you hear their songs
