I think it's STILL the best 1st Responder show out there, 50+ years later. Many, if not all the Rescues are based on Fire Department run reports from across the Nation. The chemistry is AWESOME! I like the fact that they are all portrayed as regular looking people. Today's shows are WAY too image based. They also show a TON of intangibles of being on the Fire Department and I LOVE that. It saddens me to see Randolph Ma tooth looking quite frail these days. He has battled, AND MAINTAINED, against Pancreatic Cancer for a year or two. That's a cancer that almost ALWAYS wins in 3-4 months.
