or camp grounds with the swimming pools
when we were kids , we used to vacation somewhere out in the Black Hills or the Bad Lands of South Dakota
and we would always stay at these smaller middle of South Dakota hotels and camp grounds , and they all always had a outdoor swimming pool , most of those places were fairly busy
but the thing I always remember was how clean and new looking everything was , parking lots were newly asphalt and still black , and no pot holes , plants , trees and were still all fairly young and well manicured, sidewalks were clean and no cracks
I learned to swim in one of those Hotels outdoor pools , my dad just picked me up and threw me in
and also , I'm not talking about those Fancy resort ones like in Las Vegas or Fort Lauderdale , I'm talking about places like Wall South Dakota , population 700
now...........
we still have some of those old hotels around here , and they are still open , but all the swimming pools are now filled in with gravel
and I'm not saying they still dont have those old Hotels , just that I still remember when they had that new car smell
